rider on a gray horse

Friends we've lost over the years.

Dani

I bought Dani when she was four years old and unbroke.  My intention had been to train her and sell her but I fell in love with her.  She was going to be mine forever - which turned out to be six years.

Melody and Finney's last ride

Finney

This is Melody and "Finney." Finney was a Tennessee Walking Horse and our first guest here at New Moon Farm. Unfortunately, he developed cancer and had to be put down in 1999. We loved him very much and still miss him.

Rex

leslie and rex

Complications from Cushing's Disease forced us to say goodbye to "Rex" in 2003. Owned and loved by Leslie for 18 years, he is gone but not forgotten.

Cobalt

cobalt in his stall
Cobalt was a handsome thoroughbred gelding, raised and loved by Mary for 14 years.  He had a star that looked like the state of Texas, so we called him "Tex". Cobalt was not here long but he made an impression on us nonetheless.

skittles the catSkittles

Skittles was a house cat that wasn't too sure about becoming a barn cat until she found out just how good life can be at New Moon Farm. She loved to play in water (imagine that!).

bailey the dog

Bailey

Bailey was our first dog. Our first pet. Our first child. She was "the best dog ever." She lived a good, long, life. One day, she just couldn't stand up anymore.  We miss her very much.
